Northwestern to host IEEE 2016 International Conference on Computational Photography (ICCP)

Ollie Cossairt co-chairs the Program/Papers Committee for ICCP 2016 and organizes the conference to be held at Northwestern University, May 13 to 15.

Progress on 3D reconstructions of depth encoded microscopy by the Small Worlds project is to be reported in the poster sesssion.

Ollie Cossairt has won the NSF CAREER Award

Small World’s team member Ollie Cossairt has been awarded a prestigious Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for his project entitled “Coherent Computational Imaging: Micro Measurements in a Macro World.” The project will explore the limit to the resolution we can achieve with digital cameras.

Norbert Scherer has been awarded the Peter Debye Prize

On March 24th, 2015, Scherer was awarded the Peter Debye Prize from the Edmond Hustinx Foundation and Maastrict University. The award recognizes Scherer’s contributions in chemistry, nano materials, optics and spectroscopy. One element of the award is cross-disciplinary research.
